Seems like most cosmetics companies are jumping on the membership rewards program train and as any consumer, we could not be more thrilled. Like all these things, it is always better late than never. Am I right? The MAC Select Membership debuted earlier this week. The Urban Decay UD Beauty Junkies  Membership program seems to be a one up on the MAC version. From what we have gathered from their website, Urban Decay Cosmetics will allow you to earn points based on purchases as well as non-purchase-based activities. These non-purchase-based activities are described  as product reviews, referring friends, and sharing contact on social media. After your first 100 points, you will receive a $10 UD kickback. We love love love love did we mention love that these points are redeemed for cash kickbacks. The only thing that we are a little whomp whomp whomp on is that after you reach your first 500 points and get the $20 kickback you seem to be saturated at the $20 kickback for every 200 points thereafter. I mean beggars can't be choosers and will take my cash kickbacks with no questions asked while running to click that submit button at the speed of lightning. We did sign up for this membership cause duh it is free. We will be updating you guys along the way. Totally excited to see what other membership rewards companies are brewing up with.

Milani Cosmetics describes the Color Statement Moisture Matte Lipstick in 61 - Matte Naked as a "Matte Medium Nude". It is a medium nude with a mauve pink undertone in a matte finish.

Cons

Cruelty Free Vegan Cute packaging It feels lightweight on your lips so you can definitely use this on a daily basis. It dries matte but it does not dry out your lips. The formula provides a smooth moisture which I feel is due to the grape seed extract. Great pigmentation for a natural looking nude. Affordable  Amazing smell. It is a mixture of vanilla and cake batter. Long wearing - about 4 and half hours which included drinking and eating

If you suffer from dry, cracked lips, this lipstick could settle into the fine lines. I recommend definitely exfoliating and applying a bit of lip balm to help moisturize your lips beforehand. A slight bit of color transfer when drinking so I suggest using a straw. Since this color is in the same family range as your natural lip color, even if there is some color transfer it'll still have a sheen of color on.

Overall Thoughts:

Milani Cosmetics does it again. We hate to refer to anything done by Milani as a drugstore brand because the quality of the formula and pigmentation is outstanding. So we have opted out of calling it "drugstore brand" cause that tends to resonate as cheap and have decided to go with affordable. There are currently 16 shades of the Color Statement Moisture Matte Lipsticks available for purchase on the Milani Cosmetics website. Matte Naked made its debut around January 2015. I applied Matte Naked this morning on my way to work and while I was driving I realized I forgotten my coffee. Let me tell you something, if I have not had my coffee just don't talk to me cause you'll probably be eaten alive.  Luckily, I found a drive-thru Starbucks and proceeded to order the mammoth size. As I took some sips, I noticed a little bit of a color transfer but just chalked it off to eh I bought this at CVS what can you really expect. When I got to my final destination, I went to reapply and noticed that wasn't necessary at all. This color last about 4.5 hours on me before I deemed a reapplication was a must. Throughout the day, I never had that dried out feeling of wearing a matte lipstick. It was like a second skin. I would recommend using these for an everyday basis. Hours after taking this lipstick off, I have noticed that my lips still feel moisturized and smooth. The only con I would say which can vary from person to person is if you do suffer from cracked lips this formulation will settle in the lines. It is not a horrible look but you won't get that smooth look that everyone desires. A remedy to this is to exfoliate your lips as well as moisturize with a balm either the night before or right before application. I did not experience any feathering with this shade so I didn't use a lipliner. The gold packing is adorable and durable. I had a horrible gasping experience when my adorable puppy decided to be possessed by the devil himself and knock it off the table and it hit the floor. Thankfully for his sake, the tube and lipstick are in one piece. If you are someone that is sensitive to smells and likes to know the smell situation before purchasing something, don't fret it smells like vanilla and cake batter decided to have a baby. Sorry, I may be a little hungry. So all in all, we will be repurchasing this in the future as well as trying to collect all the other shades for review. Please note that when it comes to lipstick colors the shade will always be different from person to person so don't get frustrated when you see a color in a picture or on your friend and it doesn't look the same on you. Trust me when I say this, there is a shade out there that is your soulmate. Happy Hunting!
