UD Kickback Point Breakdown: (Taken from the Urban Decay Website)

"Once you earn 100 points within a calendar year, you'll get your first UD Kickback worth $10. As soon as you make your first purchase as a UD Beauty Junkies member, the $10 UD Kickback will post to your rewards. After that, you'll automatically get a $20 UD Kickback for every additional 200 points you earn. Here's a breakdown showing what you get for the first 500 points you earn:
  • Reach 100 points in a calendar year; get a $10 UD Kickback.
  • Reach 300 points in a calendar year; get a $20 UD Kickback.
  • Reach 500 points in a calendar year; get a $20 UD Kickback.

But remember, it doesn't stop at 500 points; you keep earning $20 UD Kickbacks for every additional 200 points earned—there's no limit! UD Kickbacks are good for one year and can be redeemed on any future purchases on UrbanDecay.com or in any Urban Decay freestanding store in the U.S. When redeeming a UD Kickback, your shopping bag total must exceed the amount of the UD Kickback reward."

Some of the fine print:

Seems like most cosmetics companies are jumping on the membership rewards program train and as any consumer, we could not be more thrilled. Like all these things, it is always better late than never. Am I right? The MAC Select Membership debuted earlier this week. The Urban Decay UD Beauty Junkies  Membership program seems to be a one up on the MAC version. From what we have gathered from their website, Urban Decay Cosmetics will allow you to earn points based on purchases as well as non-purchase-based activities. These non-purchase-based activities are described  as product reviews, referring friends, and sharing contact on social media. After your first 100 points, you will receive a $10 UD kickback. We love love love love did we mention love that these points are redeemed for cash kickbacks. The only thing that we are a little whomp whomp whomp on is that after you reach your first 500 points and get the $20 kickback you seem to be saturated at the $20 kickback for every 200 points thereafter. I mean beggars can't be choosers and will take my cash kickbacks with no questions asked while running to click that submit button at the speed of lightning. We did sign up for this membership cause duh it is free. We will be updating you guys along the way. Totally excited to see what other membership rewards companies are brewing up with.

If you wish to sign up for this membership program, please click here.

Overall Thoughts:

The Urban Decay UD XX Vice LTD Reloaded is a great palette for anyone that is either starting out or needs a palette for on the go traveling especially do to the clasp top. The palette has a shade and finish for literally everyone. The only thing that is missing from this palette would probably be a primer but we love the addition of the brush. It is not the best brush ever but it certainly gets the job done. We love the fact that Urban Decay has decided to bring back some discontinued shadows that we could not previously get our hands on way back when but they have revamped them into their newer formula that lets be honest is pretty great despite the fallout. We will be ordering this palette to swatch it for you in the upcoming weeks.

Pros
Cons
  • Cruelty Free
  • Paraben Free
  • Deep End Eyeshadow is Vegan
  • Eyeshadows can be used wet or dry for a versatile intense look.
  • Palette can be used a keepsake box once finished with the eyeshadows.
  • The shadows are pigmented and smooth with great amount of color payoff.
  • The wear time is around 7-8 hours before creasing on the eyelid. For an extended playtime, primer is definitely recommended.
  • The eyeshadows are very blendable and easy to layer on top of.
  • We feel this palette could have used a matte shade to bring the look together.
  • Even though this palette is described as on the go friendly, the detachable lid pops right off. This makes traveling with this palette a bit difficult. In the future, we would like to see something similar to the naked palettes for more security.
  • Prank when swatched came out a bit patchy but it can be buildable.
  • There is a bit of fall out but that can be expected from Urban Decay. This con comes down to personal preference. These colors are stunning and pigmented that the fall out can be overlooked.
  • The palette cover can get a bit "fingerprinty" but then again that comes with usage over time and can be chalked to personal preference.

Overall Thoughts:

The Sephora Limited Edition Urban Decay Spectrum Palette is a gorgeous array of greens, blues, purples, pinks, and neutrals. This palette originally was released back on September 12, 2015 for VIB and VIB Rouge Sephora members. Within a day, this palette was sold out online and soon turned into the majestic white unicorn that only came out on leap year. After praying to the gods, Urban Decay and Sephora decided to listen to our pleas and released it for a second time. This palette is still available online and in occasional stores. So if you love great splashes of color that could be incorporated into a versatile of looks at an affordable price, then this palette is a must. You technically are saving around $245 with this palette. The color pay off is great and the wear time is fantastic. The eyeshadows have a great smooth texture that is easy to layer and blend. Yes, there is some fallout but that is clearly easy to deal with. Do we think this palette is for a on the go/travel must? Hell to the no! With the detachable top, a mess is definitely a brewing. I can just picture it now opening up my purse or makeup bag and thinking that a pixie must have died from the explosion of shimmer and glitter. If you do decide to be brave and pick the path less traveled, please make sure to secure the top with a rubber band and may the odds be in your favor. Another reason, we felt this palette was a big no no for traveling is that there is no matte shades. Although this is not a issue for when applying your makeup at home because if you are like us then you are a hoarder and have a multitude of palettes that you can interchange colors with but traveling would require you to bring another palette adding more crap to your already overloading suitcase. Again, this all boils down to personal preference. We were able to look past these cons and embrace the majestic unicorn in all its glory.
