A white twist jar that has a sticker on the bottom with the shadow's name and a clear plastic top to see the color. These jars come in a tiny square box that somewhat resembles the MAC Cosmetics' eyeshadow packaging.

"For maximum coverage: Use fingertip and tap shadow onto eye lid. A flat, fine tip synthetic brush will work fabulously as well and is actually better for a more detailed application close to the lash line. However, your fingertips make for the most intense application. To blend: Use a fluffy brush that has good movement, dip tip of the brush into the shadow and blend with a “wind shield wiper” movement throughout the crease of the eye. This will make your shadow softer and more diffused (like a total pro). When finished, close that sucker up tight! Don’t leave the jar opened for long periods of time, you may lose some of the magic that makes the Super Shock Shadow so amazzzing."

Colourpop Cosmetics describes this Super Shock Shadow in KathleenLights as a bright golden copper in a pearlized finish. It is a golden coppery bronze with a metallic finish.

Disclaimer: If you don't shut the jar tightly, the shadow will eventually start to dry out.  It is more a metallic finish than a pearlized finish. So if you aren't in for an intense pigmentation and are looking for a softer look, then we can't be friends. Just kidding, Applies better with a finger than a brush. We know that some people get grossed out by that but trust me it will help perfect a smoother look.

Overall Thoughts:

Colourpop Cosmetics originally released KathleenLights back in April 2015 as part of the "Where the Light is" set. It was later released in December 2015 as a single super shock shadow. Youtuber and fellow Miamian, Kathleen Lights described that when she was creating this shadow she wanted something similar to MAC Cosmetics Amber Lights. As soon as we swatched KathleenLights, we definitely knew why this shade was included in the Where the Light is set cause boy oh boy does this baby shine bright. It is a very intensely pigmented metallic golden copper bronze guaranteed to lighten any eye look. This super shock shadow can be used to go from day time to night time in the snap of a finger. KathleenLights is very blendable and buildable that is easy to apply. I do recommend that for a smoother application you use your finger to apply the shadow to set it in and give a more intense look. Although it is described as having a pearlized finish, I feel this shadow is way more metallic which I absolutely love. I definitely recommend snagging this color it is a must have for the spring/summer season. (Although, I will secretly be using this all year round). Colourpop Cosmetics released a new Super Shock Shadow back in December 2015 called Puppy Love. All proceeds will be donated to Best Friends Animal Society and their NKLA effort to Save Them All. Between the two of us, we are the proud mothers of three dogs. So this cause holds dear to our hearts. Not only is this for a great cause but the color is truly gorgeous. The color is very true to pan. I have seen a few posts that state that this color doesn't blend well or there is no duo chrome effect seen but I did not encounter either of these issues. To date, I have used this color as an eyeshadow, a cheek highlighter, a brow bone highlighter, and an inner tear duct highlight. For application, I have used my finger as well as a synthetic eyeshadow brush and the application was easy. I love that for $5.00 I am getting a lot of product that has a multipurpose use. The only con I have is that if you don't keep the eyeshadow jars tightly shut, the shadows tend to dry out but then again that can be seen with any cream formulation.
