The Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer Murumuru Butter Bronzer is currently a part of the Physicians Formula Spring 2016 Collection. It is only available in two shades which are 6675 - Light Bronzer and 6676 - Bronze. These products were extremely hard to track down in stores. We finally found one at CVS in the shade 6675 - Light Bronze and almost fought over who it was going home with. IF YOU ARE SOMEONE WHO HAS SENSITIVE SMELLING POWERS OR YOU HATE THE SMELL OF SUMMER, I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT. Yes, I capitalized this because upon opening this compact the fragrance is a bit over powering and will transport you to a tropical paradise sipping on pina coladas by the shoreline. If you are like Olaf and myself (Yes, I threw in a Frozen reference there), you are obsessed with all things summer. When picking a bronzer, you need to make sure you select one that is appropriate for your skin tone. This is where Ann Margaret and I differ, she's all about that tan life and I am all about that vampire life. I am more on the fair-light spectrum versus Ann M who is more on the light-medium side. On both of our skins, the Light Bronzer gave us that natural sun-kissed skin glow without it being cakey or streaky or looking like an oompa loompa. I do feel that for Ann M she would have benefited from the Bronze shade much better but being as the formulation is buildable you can work your way up to a more pigmented look without it looking like a too intense cut crease contour. The finish is not a complete matte. It does blend out into a more sheen diffused look which adds to the natural look. This butter bronzer will help you look like you are rocking that glorious summer tan. There are two things I am on the fence about when it comes to this product: price and packaging. I feel that for the price you are getting a really great quality product but being that it is a drugstore brand they are a little on the expensive side. I would recommend waiting for a sale or when they offer rebates. Now, here comes my rant about the packaging. The packaging is very appealing to the eye. With that being said, it is extremely bulky. I feel that this is due to the addition of the mirror and sponge applicator. The sponge application is garbage and will leave you all streaky so I recommend using a contour brush instead. I am not a huge fan of mirror in compacts I like to see my whole face when applying my contour but I do know people love mirrored compacts. The bulkiness would not allow me to take this on a trip cause I suffer from overpacking to begin with. If they do away with the applicator and mirror compartment, it would make the packaging a lot slimmer. For an extended wear time, I recommend using a primer and setting spray. I wore this for about 10 hours before it started to fade. All in all, I will be repurchasing this shade so I will keep my eye open cause this is definitely a hot ticket item. Tell me your thoughts down below.
