Overall Thoughts:

So I originally saw the display for the Wet n Wild Summer Collection a few months back running through Walgreens on a quick errand and thought to myself I will be back in a few days when I have more time no big deal. In a matter of days, this whole collection flew off the shelves like hotcakes. I managed to snag only two things from this whole line after driving to maybe about 20 Walgreens stores. I can now see what the hype is about. The Color Icon™ Metallic Liquid Lipstick in 34732 - Chrysanthemum’s the Word is part of six other shades in the limited edition collection. This is truly such a fun color that has a gorgeous metallic finish to it. I would not describe it as a liquid lipstick at all for the first few hours it feels more like a lipgloss yet not tacky at the same time. It sure acts like a lipgloss by glooping into the corner of your mouth if you are a bit heavy handed so start light and even though you'll get a patchy sheen coverage at initial application it definitely builds up to a more opaque coverage. I think it was around hour 4 or so that it started to feel more like a liquid lipstick and a bit drying on the lips. If you do move your lips together, you can feel it slightly gritty due to the metallic specs in the formula. I did enjoy that it was easy to remove without leaving behind a stain but just a hint of metallic glitter. There was a slight weird smell from the tube but it is not noticeable on the lips. The doe foot applicator was easy to use and allowed for an easy application on the lips. It was lightweight and did not settle into a lip lines or dry patches.  Chrysanthemum’s the Word did not crumble or feather but it does have the tendency to smudge and transfer. My only huge big bummer was that it did slightly make my teeth seem a bit more yellowish but that could be due to the undertone. It lasted about 6.5 hours before noticing it fade nicely into my natural lip color. With all the metallic liquid lipsticks coming on the scene, I suggest you try to find these since they are pretty great at an affordable price to see if you want to join the party. These are limited edition so if this sparkle catches your eye I suggest you haul butt to your nearest Walgreens or order them off the Wet n Wild website.
