Color Commentary:

Sephora and Becca Cosmetics described the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop as a soft white gold with pinky-peach undertones. It is a light, bright peachy-pink with a gold pearlescent shimmer finish.

    • Overtall Thoughts:

2015 should definitely be renamed the year of strobing. Highlighters of all different formulations and finishes were hitting the market left and right trying to lure us in for that Jennifer Lopez signature dewy glowy goddess look and dear lord it worked. In my opinion, Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed formulation is superb and definitely offers a wide variety of shades suitable for every skin tone. They currently have seven different shades being offered at Sephora and six different shades being offered on their personal company's website. The difference being this little baby that Jaclyn Hill created with Becca Cosmetics is currently a Sephora Exclusive only. When this shade dropped back in July 2015, it was only supposed to be limited edition till they sold out but this item sold out in seconds. And why wouldn't it....it was created by one of the best companies with one of the best YouTube Beauty Gurus out there. They are both slaying the game. So like most sane people,  I did what anyone else in this position would do I bought two because you know why not. I do love the packaging it is very elegant and very sturdy. There are a few reviews I have read saying that the compact does not travel well but mine made it from the USA to Asia and back all in one piece. If you are not a fan of a show stopping bam in your face highlight, then I suggest you either don't bother purchasing this or send them to me I will gladly take them off your hands with no problem. I do recommend to diffuse it out or go very light handed for a more subtle sun-kissed look. For those of you worried that it is too glittery, it is not. The formulation is finely milled so you don't get that heavy chunky glitter look that can sometimes lead to transferring all over your skin and leave you looking like a shimmering disco ball. The pearlescent nature of it reflects the light in a glorious manner giving you that pop of color where applied. The texture is a soft, cream to powder touch that allows for a easy and even application. It is very lightweight on the skin and does last for a long time. You can extend its longevity by using a primer and setting spray. These highlighters can be considered pricey for some but you do get a lot of product that does last for a while. I have had this since July and I am no where near hitting pan. My only issue with this product is that if you have textured skin which I will admit I do suffer from it can enhance it a bit more. I fine that I can subdue that by using a primer and instead of using a fan brush I will use a small contour brush to diffuse and blend the product. This color shade may not work best on the fairest of skin tones since it can be a bit warmer but does seem to suit everyone else very well. Again, this is personal preference I tend to be fair to light during the winter season and will  still use Champagne Pop but make sure to go very light handed.
