Milani Cosmetics: Fierce Foil Eyeliner in 04 - Navy Foil

Milani Cosmetics: Fierce Foil Eyeliner in 04 - Navy Foil

Description:

"This is so new, it’s hopping right off the Milan runway and into your makeup bag. A truly next-level eyeliner, it gets its richness from a black base that blasts the luminosity, creating a shiny, shimmery special effect that lights up your eyes. Blackened jewel tones with a foil finish, these can be used for lining or a full-on lid look. And there are two great ways to play these blendable beauties: For a “classic cat” look, extend the color just past the lashline. For a “smoldering smoky” vibe, gently blend upward from the lashline to the crease. Available in four chic shades - Black Gold Foil, Brown Foil, Purple Foil and Navy Foil – with a custom pro brush that deposits color exactly where you want it. Glow for it."

Color Commentary:
  • Upon swatching, Navy Foil looked like a deep dark blue on a black base with a sparkling overlay of iridescence.
  • Milani described this color as an "inky, moonlight-oceanblue".

Pros
Cons
  • Cruelty Free
  • Affordable. Plus it comes with a brush that does a pretty decent job.
  • Applies sheer at first but can be built up for a good color payoff.
  • Easy to blend out for a smoky eye
  • Can be used as an eyeliner, eyeshadow, or eyeshadow base.
  • Doesn't dry right away so can be played with till you are happy with the thickness of your line.
  • It is not over the top glittery. It adds that little something something that girls who love glitter can rock during the day.
  • Powder to cream texture that gets creamier the more the product is used.

  • Horrible smell. Thankfully our nose is no where near our eyelids.
  • Not waterproof so if you have oily eyelids the liner may smudge.
  • Can be somewhat of a pain to remove despite it not being waterproof but hey who doesn't want an eyeliner that is long wearing.
  • Does fade after 6 to 7 hours but then this depends on how long you will be wearing your makeup if this is truly a con.
  • Slightly chunky texture so be careful with the amount you pick up on your brush if not it will smear.

Overall Thoughts:

The Fierce Foil Eyeliner in 04 Navy Foil by Milani Cosmetics was simple to use and to top if off it came with its own brush. The fact that we found different uses for this eyeliner was a huge perk. Who doesn't love to get their monies worth. We would definitely purchase this product again. Since CVS is having a BOGO sale for Milani, we will be searching high and low to find the other three colors to swatch and review them for you.
